The sport of wildwater canoeing usually takes places in the nature at remote places. This most likely one issue of the sport as it is not very visual to the public. Additionally the length of the races course is about 15-20 mins for the traditional discipline. So the main idea is to demonstrate this variant of a traditional discipline a lot shorter and faster up to now as well as having the competition in a stadium like venue close to a city which makes the sport easy accessible. We are very interested to showcase the broad public this well organized ICF Wildwater Canoeing Sprint World Championship in Augsburg on the famous Olympic channel and show them that this different water sport activity makes a lot of fun and our vision is, that the broad public will be more informed about the wildwater canoeing sprint and the ICF in general. The press centre is combined with the organisation office and will be staffed with the press officer (journalist from Augsburg newspaper) and his staff with a lot of experience. They will provide up to date news about the event, athletes as well as results. The TV will have a storing position and will be in charge of a responsible journalist, too.
